i hear voices. and they don't like you.10.4.10the sound was pounding, it was enticing, it was everything in that sudden moment.it was as if she suddenly lost control of her body and allowed the music playing to control it. she swayed, she whipped her hair, she spun. the bass was loud enough to make the floors shake, the feeling shooting up through her feet and into her legs, up her stomach, and directly into her chest as if she stepped onto a wet electrical cord. she had an odd connection with music. but it was a unique connection. one that not a whole lot of people would understand. though in that one moment, nobody else around her mattered. it was only the ecstatic sound piercing her ears. her eyes were shut; not squeezed, they were relaxed, as she continued to spin around amongst the others clamoring around her, everyone in the area seeming to be off in their own world. some danced with another's hands at their waist, some danced in groups, some even danced to show off in an open space. she danced alone. her eyes closed, she couldn't see any of the blinding lights flickering around, though she could get a hint of them from behind her eyelids. the music had her now. the rumbling sound made its way into her heart and caused it to speed up, sending her into a euphoric stage. the rapid beating against her heart made her feel alive, it was as if it just made her stress dissipate. she stomped her feet, spun around again, whirling her arms as she continued dancing to the nirvana that lifted her spirit. she smiled. then she laughed. this was all she needed. one of the few ways to relieve herself. she would have gone crazy if she stayed sitting down with this music playing. having everyone else in an elevated mood added to her happiness. her connection to the music was strange. but it healed her, it made her happy, it could lift her stress. music was her life. was it possible that she was a slave to music? perhaps. if she didn't have her music, she was unsure of what would happen to her. the music loved her. loved to see her dance and sway to the beats. and she loved the music. loved to have it bash away any amount of sadness. the infinite sounds never ceased to amaze her; pounding, stringing, singing, waving, no matter what it was. it was everything she needed. it was everything she could have wanted, in a moment like this especially. nothing else was visible to her in the room, nothing else existed--only her and the sense of love filling the room. nothing more. nothing less. it was euphoria to her. then, there was a brief pause in the song playing before it came back twice as hard and loud, digging harder into her veins, lighting up her soul, racing her heart even more. she was in complete and utter bliss. she was smiling and laughing. that alone was enough. |
