-insert witty and engaging title here-15.2.10he stands at the top of the highest building in the city. he doesn't even know how he got there. he's at the top of this building and he's just watching life. he's watching as people drive by quickly. he laughs, because people are always in a hurry to go nowhere. driving a few mph faster is always worth the .3 seconds earlier you could be to work. he watches all the ant sized people walk the streets oblivious to their surroundings. he watches the guy in the business suit almost walk in front of a car. he watches the small blonde girl grab his arm, saving his life. he figures the man offered up his thanks, watched the walk symbol light up, and forgot that moment ever even happened, because it was insignificant. everything down there, the ants, the cars, the lights, it's all insignificant. he is insignificant. in the constant movement of this big city, no one person makes any impact whatsoever. because if they leave, if they come to the top of this building, nothing is going to change. life for everyone else is still going to go on. he can stay up here forever, or he can take the elevator back to reality. or, he could jump. he could interrupt traffic. he could cause a scene. he could for once make a difference through the insecurity of insignificance. he makes his way to the edge of the roof with ease. he looks down and smiles. he thinks it would be humorous to just walk off the edge pretending not to realize that he was going to fall. like a cartoon where they walk off a cliff, and just linger for a second. he kind of wanted to do that. but he knows that it wont be right without the animations, and the sound effects. so he just watches for a while as life goes on without even knowing he's missing.
