i know i have my visions in all their complexity
my dreams in shrouded mists of confused reality
the what, the how and when, of striding for a life
be it of good character and staying away from strife
we divide our lives in portions and use accordingly
to suit our frame in time and cast with sincerity
to see the colors black and white, not allowing for the grey
all moving at different speeds to cope with every day
wary of the role we play and how to see it through
confused with blatant honesty and if it's really true
the truth is really just a lie, deception it will test
to believe or not believe, is a riddle at its best
i guess my philosophy is to see between the lines
to read what isn't there and look out for the signs
from the how and what and whence and where
from push and shove to love and care
so you see we all have the ability to make this world exist
but how we handle the road we walk, is truly to persist
find your niche and surge ahead, no intimidation felt
strength and wisdom learned from trials that have been dealt
not one is better than another and perfection is a myth
our answers are just questions to be dealt with forthwith
we all are individuals with purpose and with pride
so onward we will march with a quickness in our stride
to see a new sunrise and another setting sun
to believe there is a God and what is done is done
so share a heart and trust a soul and bring forth clarity
of better days and accomplishments and human charity

if i say that i don't think i'm pretty, i'm looking for attention, and if i say yes, i'm a vain bitch. it's such a double standard in society; we tell girls that they should be confident and feel beautiful all the time, but then we tear down girls who are confident, out of jealousy and hate. i really don't get it.
